I gave a try to a nearby late night Mediterranean food on Door Dash not expecting too much, but I was blown away by the attention detail and delicious flavors here. I ordered the chicken kofta rice plate with all the veggies and sauces. One precaution is their spicy sauce is spicy and so this I got one pour less. Otherwise everything was perfect and moist.

nice spot for a quick dinner, i love the white sauce and their chicken is so good and it's filling!

I really enjoyed the gyro. It tasted great and had lots of meat. I gave 4 stars because the meat was cubed. It was a little off putting at first and it made a messy sandwich harder deal with. *****5 Stars for the big piece of baklava. It was worth the price and calories!!

I love this place! Been getting food for more than 2 years and never had a bad meal. In fact the fish here is better than any other fish place. I've ordered the Lamb over Rice, Kofta over Rice, Mixed Meats over Rice and all have been so tasty, moist and delicious. The Kofta is spicy. Choose salad or pepper and onions(my fave) to go with the meat and rice, both are great. The sauces, red, white or green are all good. The white ameliorates the spiciness of the Kofta. I'd love if they offered salads such as Piyaz, dishes such as mujadarrah so that Shahs could be my all complete dining experience!

A great place to grab a quick bite to eat that is not just a fast food joint. The food is fresh and made to order right on the spot. My nine year old and I shared a chicken and rice with salad which was delicious. I ordered falafels which were a bit overcooked but we're still tasty just wish they had not cooked so long. My son ordered a side of spicy chicken wings but he said they were not even spicy so he was a bit disappointed. Overall, I would still return when needing to get something late at night when all other restaurants are closed.

I thought this spot was quite good and satisfying! There aren't a ton of halal places in Pittsburgh, so it's great to have a spot like this. I know this place is technically a chain, but it's not a huge one, and I still was craving some halal food. I've heard great things about the food. I decided to try their signature chicken over rice with the white sauce, as well as BBQ and hot sauce on the side. This meal was absolutely delicious. The portion was quite good, and the price was reasonable as well. The chicken itself was tender and flavorful. It wasn't too spicy, which I also appreciated. There are options to get a ton of vegetables, but I decided to stick with the classic chicken and rice. The rice itself was well cooked, too. I truly loved their white sauce, which was a little creamy. The BBQ and hot sauce were kind of ordinary and not the best. All in all, I really enjoyed this spot. The meat was tasty, the rice was well made, and the sauces were great. It's awesome to have a halal spot near the area.

Delicious for take out ... order double chicken Right amount of spices, I ordered 3 lines.

I ordered the combo over rice (lamb and chicken) with white sauce, and it was pretty delicious. This combo exceeded my expectations! It was fun to eat and very filling too. The fries were fresh and a great accompaniment! I can see why there are so many good reviews... my food was bomb! I look forward to trying out different menu items next time. Thankis Shahs Halah

It was a great feeling to visit Pittsburgh over the weekend and find that Shah's opened a location outside the DMV. The Muslim double whammy of Jumuah + Shah's for lunch simply cannot be beat, Alhamdulillah. I will restate what I wrote about their original location too: the food is so delicious and the combination of sauces, veggies, meat, and rice so outstanding that I feel guilty wasting my time and money with Halal Guys. Their food is poor compared to Shah's Halal. This place is awesome and I'm halal jealous of all my Pittsburgh Muslims who now have this excellent addition!
